"This is how you do atmospheric black metal. Actual song structures, reliance on song-crafting and riffs, instead of pointless 5-minute water interludes and endless repetitive nonsense to create “atmosphere”; Mgla is one of the few bands that can pull off interesting repetition. The riffing often reminds me of Amorphis and Rotting Christ: melodic and grand. Hints of Borknagar too, as far as epic folkiness. Gorgeous music"
